Sur-Gard’s New SKYROUTE™ Transceiver Takes Advantage
of Cellemetry^SM Data Service

SUR-GARD (SG Security Communications) announces the release of the SKYROUTE Wireless Communication Transceiver for alarm monitoring. The Cellemetry-enabled SKYROUTE Transceiver comes in the form of a plug-in module for all DSC Power832 and the PC1555 control panels and takes advantage of a breakthrough technology called Cellemetry^SM Data Service.

Cellemetry Service is a patented wireless technology developed by Cellemetry LLC and is provided exclusively in Canada by Mobility Canada cellular carriers, namely: BCTEL Mobility, TELUS Mobility, SaskTel Mobility, MTS Mobility, Thunder Bay Mobility, Bell Mobility, QuébecTel Mobilité, NBTel Mobility, IslandTel Mobility, MT&T Mobility and NewTel Mobility. Cellemetry enables alarm equipment to be remotely monitored in a secure cost-effective manner by using the existing cellular network control channels.

Both the SKYROUTE Transceiver and airtime costs are lower than current cellular solutions and offer improved security because the Transceiver does not require dedicated phone lines and is not subject to sabotage or accidental phone outages when lines are down. The Transceiver can be used as the primary source of communication for the alarm control panel or, in conjunction with the landline, operating in a dual communication mode.

Skyroute ™ The Skyroute transceiver provides wireless communication of event conditions to the alarm monitoring utilizing the the Cellemetry^SM Data Service. The Skyroute module comes in the form of a plug-in module for the Power832, PC1555 and PC580 utilizing the keybus technology to provide full reporting, ease of programming and module supervision.
